Elin Synnøve Bråthen comes from small-town north of Norway. Her professional music background is topped with a PhD in music performance. Her music is released on five albums and she contributes on a number of other artists' studio- and concert productions.

Her music talent blossomed in her home district. Here, she was honed to be a jazz-singer, but also performed a variety of styles fronting local choirs and ensembles. Exploring genres and expressions resulted in her playing trumpet on a jazz-recording while at the same time polishing her voice to do soprano solos with a baroque ensemble. Upon writing her own music she found a musical home in retro-style pop flirting intimately with other styles (jazz, ballads and Celtic music).

A collection of Elin Synnøves songs are released with band concept Eliksir. The two more recent albums are released under her own name. Additionally, Elin Synnøve can be traced on a range of other artists' recordings. She also contributes live doing backup vocals or playing keys, or she works from behind the scene as arranger, vocal instructor and producer. Her music has reached an international audience, with songs released on compilations in Germany and Asia.
